Justin Bieber: Will He Play A Female Character In Superman Sequel?

Sunday, September 22, 2013

Justin Bieber’s photo of the ‘Batman vs. Superman’ script he posted to his Instagram has teased many Beliebers and Batman fanatics — but what some might not know is that the role of Robin in that movie is played by a woman!

One of the best parts of Justin’s teasing photo of a personalized Batman vs. Superman script with “BIEBER” stamped on the cover is something that only serious fans of the comic book will know: Robin wasn’t intended to be a male character in it — he was originally written as a 13-year-old girl!

Robin Is A Girl In ‘Batman Vs. Superman’

Frank Miller’s Dark Knight Returns is a comic book miniseries split into four issues, that was written in 1986. The film version is the upcoming Batman vs. Superman, with Ben Affleck, 41, in the role of Batman.  In it, Batman saves a 13-year-old girl named Carrie Kelley from the Mutants, a dangerous gang. Carrie then returns the favor by helping Batman make a narrow escape later on, making her Robin!
Modern Family star Ariel Winter played Carrie in the animated 2012 and 2013 two-part film adaptation Batman: The Dark Knight Returns. Will Justin Bieber, 19, be putting those long eyelashes and porcelain skin to use soon in the female role?

‘Batman Vs. Superman’: Will Justin Bieber Play A Girl?

If you were excited for Justin to take a turn as a girl on the big screen, we’re sorry to let you down. “Justin Bieber will NOT be in the next Batman film, either as Robin or craft services,” a source tells Qmedy.com exclusively.
Justin also filmed a video for the comedy website Funny Or Die on Sept. 13, according to our sister site Variety, which means he may have been taking advantage of a convincing prop. Teasing us like that makes him more of The Joker than Robin!
What do YOU think, HollywoodLifers? Could you have seen Justin as a convincing 13-year-old girl in Batman vs. Superman? Let us know!
