A pure gold model of the left foot of Argentinean national football team and Spain’s FC Barcelona striker—and four-time Ballon d’Or award recipient—Lionel Messi was revealed to the public in Tokyo.
The £3.5 million (approx. €4 million) statuette was molded from a cast recently taken of Messi’s foot by Japanese jewelers Tanaka Kikinzoku.
The golden foot weighs 25kg and measures 25cm in height and 28cm in width, and even the blood vessels of the foot are patterned as natural.
In addition,Tanaka has prepared 100 smaller statuettes(worth $94,500) of Messi's foot as well as his footmark,which will be sold for $42.000,The Guardian reports
